The final battle depicted in Henry IV, Part 1 is the battle of Shrewsbury fought on July 21, 1403. Strange enough, the battle reportedly took place in a large field of peas. Both Harry Percy (Hotspur) and Prince Henry (Prince Hal) were supposedly shot in the face with an arrow, but the Prince of Wales (Hal) survived and later ascended to the monarchy, becoming King Henry V.
